This is my second pair of Chameleons, same style just a different color this time. I like them because they have a great arch support that does not break down. I have arthritis but still do a lot of walking and they provide a sturdy, stable base for every step I take, yet they are light and comfortable. They are warm and dry in the rain but still breathe so in good weather my feet are not too hot. They fit great and look great. I highly recommend them.

Oh but we have to suffer for our beauty, dont we? I love these boots. They are so cute, I don't find them to be cheap looking at all, and I always get compliments when I wear them. The only thing is, I cant wear them to work because the heel tips your ankles at a weird angle, and by the end of the day, my ankles are killing me! I wear 4 inch heels to work every day (I work in an office, not a strip club, sinners...;)) so I'm used to walking in heels, usually with no problems. If you arent walking around much though, I highly recommend these shoes. I just wish I could wear them more often:(.

Definitely returning these, the quality is terrible.

Disgusting synthetic leather that feels like it leaves a filmy residue on your hands, faux fur that absolutely reeks of plastic and a heel that I feel like I could snap off with my bare hands if I really tried. Also, the heel was not quite 4" nor was the shaft of the boot high enough to be called a "knee boot", it reached about 3/4 of the way up my calf (and I don't half exceptionally long legs). The lacing is not at all attractive, it's very wide and difficult to tighten around the foot itself, but much easier around the leg. Overall, not an attractive shoe.

On the other hand, shipping was fast, and I suppose you get what you pay for.

The most comfortable heeled boot I own. Can put them on in the AM and still be wearing them in the PM. Of course I would not want to run a road race in them, but that's not what they're made for!!!

The fact that the lacing is for real, is what sold me, I can adjust the lacing tightness up and down the boot. Makes for a very snug fit just where you want it.

If I had one complaint it would be the heel could have been 1/2 to 1" higher. I would not call these "stiletto" but they're close.

My husband told me the boots look wonderful, but I thought he was just saying it because he has to... However, I get complimented almost everytime I wear them, they all want to know if they're comfy, warm and where I got them from. And the price was great as well.

I bought these based on the other reviews on Amazon, and while I'm not as blown away as some purchasers, I'm pretty satisfied with these shoes as a whole. They aren't as comfortable as I would have liked, but I think that is more a case of my foot neuromas than with the shoe itself. They are well constructed, give my feet pretty good support, and best of all have a lot of toe room. When I get my new orthotics I think the comfort level will improve. I've owned several pairs of the original green Spenco insoles (Running/Walking), and have loved them. I run several times per week to train for my job and they have improved the cushioning of the already comfortable Asics Gel-Nimbus 11's. However, these new gel models are terrible for running. They offer barely more cushioning than the stock insoles on a normal basis such as standing or walking, but when you begin running they just squish into nothing. Even for standing around I still would buy the green ones.

I go to a military school and have to wear hard soled leather shoes. Needless to say, I have to do a lot of walking around in those shoes and hoped the gel insoles would provide a little more comfort. I took them to be replacement insoles, and maybe they'd be better on top of the factory insoles. Regardless, I got shin splints because they do not give me enough support. So they may be good insoles if you try them on top of the factory insoles, but I didn't like them at all on their own.

I wound up with the Spenco Total Support insoles that worked perfect.

I originally wanted a pair of Emu Bordeux boots that I had tried on while visiting Snowshoe WV. I found these on Amazon when I was unable to find my size in the Emu's. I love these boots. They are very cute and comfortable. I normally wear and 8.5 or 9. I bought a 9 in these because that was the only thing available close to my size. They seem to fit pretty true to size for me especially with thicker socks that I will wear with these in the winter months. I do have thin calves and they fit me well in the legs but they do run a little tight and would not fit thicker calves especially with jeans tucked in.

This is a super-comfortable and great looking boot. It is rugged and kind of sporty, but dressy enough to wear to work with nice pants. It has great cushioning, thick but soft leather, and it's easy to get on and off because of the side zip. My favorite thing about this boot is that is feels like you're wearing a flat shoe, but it actually has a sort of internal wedge heel that's about 1.5". Also - great feature - the outside of the back of the heel has a rubber covering that will protect that area when driving, etc. The only thing to keep in mind is that this boot runs small. I'm a solid size 8.5, and the 9 fits me like a glove (perfect with regular socks - I don't think I could get thick socks in). So, if you're between sizes, you may even want to go up a whole size... but DEFINITELY order a half-size up.

I broke my ankle this year and have been searching far and wide for attractive yet functional shoes that have enough flexibility to accommodate an air cast or ankle brace. Previously I had to purchase double wide shoes to accommodate the hardware. The double wides are not wearable without the hardware.

But the Merrell Plaza Mid boot has a zipper on one side and stretchy fabric on the other. Perfect for either thick or thin socks, hosiery, and even fit my air cast. Very comfortable and stylish boots with skid proof soles have enabled me to wear normal footwear in my true size yet accommodate a fracture that is still healing. Note to Merrell: please do not discontinue this style, I plan to buy a pair in every color and they are great for people with ankle sprains and fractures. Good job!

I really liked the style of the boot, but looks don't keep you warm in MI winters. The boot was VERY thin and the lining was sparse. They didn't keep my feet warm just wearing around the house so knew they wouldn't cut it out in the snow. Laces looked like they would break easily although they did come with another pair. Sizing was good - I ordered a half size bigger and that would have been perfect for thick socks. I was also disappointed in the lack of arch support. I have another pair of Timberlands and these were night and day difference in that department. Very disappointing.

I did end up returning them and instead purchased a Sorel boot that is much warmer and fits better.

The discription matched perfectly. For me personally, I thought the boot was a little snug in the forefoot area. It held my heel nicely so it didn't slip out. I thought the entire sole was a bit stiff or needed a little "breaking in". Leather laces not made to be cinched up for a snug fit around the lower leg.

I hike in all kinds of terrain, but dislike heavy hiking boots. These shoes are as light as my running shoes, but have excellent treads to grip even the slipperiest surfaces. They felt good the instant I tried them on.

I didn't want to pay this much for a pair of hiking shoes, but I am glad I did. They are so comfortable they don't even need to be broken in. If you are used to running shoes, these hiking shoes do tilt you back a little. But it feels great and allows the thick soles to absorb the pounding when you hike downhill. My sports-loving daughter got a pair too. We enjoy them.

These run very true to size, the same as our running shoes. For hiking, I'd recommend a half size larger.

I have never tried Merrells before, but I really needed some comfortable shoes for vacation in Washington D.C. where we walked and walked and walked and walked.

While other parts of me got sore, tired, and overheated, my feet were never the problem (nor my back, for that matter). And because the sides are so flexible, they work for varied widths - I generally buy Wide - and these fit quite well (and I bet they would adapt for more narrow feet).

I bought a pair of these for work. I work at a youth residential facility and was looking for a replacement for my Asics trailrunning shoes. At $36, these were hard to pass up, so I didn't. The material is durable, and I like the hard toe bed a lot. Unfortunately, they aren't running shoes which means they are good for walking, but have only minimal arch support at best. So, don't run in them. As far as looks and functionality, they serve their purpose.

There's nothing more classic than a black and white pair of chuck high tops. I've worn them since I was a kid and I'm not about to stop now.

I buy a pair every few years and wear them until they are literally falling apart around my feet.

As much as I love the look of a brand new clean pair of chucks, I also have a special place in my heart for a beaten, battered, torn up, scribbled on, dirty, scuffed up pair. It's all part of the life cycle of a pair of Chuck Taylors.

The basic colors also hold a special place in my heart. I can't walk into journey's anymore because all the shoes in there look like a clown took acid and threw up all over the place. Who can sell me shoes that don't make me look an a-hole? I'll stick to the classics.

I gave a 4 star review, however, because it upsets me that these shoes have become so expensive. They can't possibly cost anywhere near that much to make. There's not much to them and that's what I like.

I bought these in a store yesterday and wore these with socks, and now my white socks are totally black! I just took them off of my bare feet today and the bottoms of my feet are COMPLETELY BLACK!! I haven't tried washing it off yet or washing my socks, but hopefully this dye doesn't stain. I'm pretty upset about that. The inside of these boots are not as soft as Ugg boots but they are still warm. Personally, my feet sweat in both uggs and bearpaws. the quality of the outside is great though (so far).

They are definately great boots. I own a pair of Uggs and I do not think that those are any better than these. I would definatly recommend getting a size up on these though since they do run small. I ordered one size up and they still feel a little snug, but still very comfy and wearable. They are not hard to slip on over my heel like some boots that don't have a zipper on the side are. I have bought some boots that I couldn't get over my heel into because the opening for the foot was too small but these are just fine. My new favorite boots!

Price: Uggs are too expensive for my budget. So this is my second pair of Bear Paw boots. I think the price is very reasonable!

Fit: I like this item has a rubber sole instead of a flat thin sole like regular Uggs. The rubber sole feels more durable and is great to walk in! I wear a size 7 1/2 in heels and size 8 in tennis shoe so I ordered a size 8. The fit is perfect - Snug, but and not squishing my toes.

I just got my boots today, and i love them. Iv'e had 6 different kinds from Arizona brand to Kitsons. These are comparable to my Kitsons which i payed 300$ for. They are comfortable, warm, supportive, and they feel like a dream. I am a boot person all the way, and these are great, i love them. The only problems i noticed, they are very snug, a little hard to get into. I guess because they are high. I am a little overweight, if you like the fur showing they are fine, if not they are tight around the leg. You will not be tucking anything into these, unless you have very little calves. I suggest for people ( with lg legs)who dont like to fold them down, get a shorter pair. Other than that they are great.

I usually wear a size 6 1/2 or 7, so I ordered the size 7. It wasn't super small, but at the back of the ankle the boot curves in and was rubbing my ankle and my toe just barely touched the end. If I pushed my foot all the way to the back, it would fit my foot, but there was no way my foot would stay that far back in the boot and it would have given me a blister if I tried. Not near as comfortable as I had heard they were. But I do think a size 8 would have been great. I wanted to be able to roll the top of the boot down to show the fur, but when I did, it showed creases of white where the fur was attached to the boot in pieces. This was the main reason I returned this item. It is slightly tight around the calves, so if you have large calves you may want to get a shorter boot. All in all, I liked the boot, but with the defect in the fur and the size being a little small, I had to return it. So next time I will order a size 8 and get the 10" because the 12" was just too tall for the look I'm going for.

I went through 2 pairs of these hiking on snowy trails (one I purchased, the second set was given to me by the store after the first set broke early on). Worked great the first outing, then started to slip off by the second outing. I was having to adjust them every fifty yards because they would not stay in place on my boots. I tried making a velcro strap like the 'Pro' versions, but that didn't help. Then the flimsy rubber/plastic broke.

I eventually spent almost 3 times as much for Stablicers. Worth every penny. 4 icy day hikes with them, and no trouble at all. Heavier, but they really work.

The yak traks are very helpful when crossing sidewalks, and streets. You still have to be a litle careful when walking but they give you more confidence. They do prevent slipping on ice coated driveways

Once I got the devices onto my New Balance Shoes they really worked. No more slipping when getting the paper - which is the reason I bought them in the first place.

The only cons were untwisting them from the package. What do I mean? They are twisted/compressed for shipping purposes. It is like undoing a snarl. Once you get past the unsnarling, then you have to figure out how to pull them over your the soles of your shoes.

However, these things work and I highly recommend them. Oh yes, I do not remove them from my NBs I just put the shoes on when there are slippery conditions. I don't want to wrestle them off the shoes and then have to put them back on.

But, as I wrote before, they really work and I would buy them again. No more falling down!

Had the original Yaxtrax, and had occasional issues with them coming off particularly in tough terrain. These solve the isse and are more robust too.
